Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson Sets Record in Cozy Coupe Contest at the 2025 ICAS Convention

December 9th, 2025
The 2025 ICAS Convention played host to one of its most energetic traditions on Tuesday, December 9, as nine teams went head-to-head in the Cozy Coupe Assembly Contest. Racing against each other, Team JBER Rocks from Joint Base Elmendorf–Richardson surged to victory, completing their build in under 12 minutes, a new ICAS record and a milestone likely to haunt future competitors.

Team members Ryan Murdock, Michael “Slosh” Padilla, and Morgan Searcy combined speed, precision, and teamwork to outpace a strong field. All completed Cozy Coupes will be donated to a local charity at the conclusion of the convention, continuing the impactful tradition of giving back.

ICAS extends its appreciation to all competing teams for their enthusiasm and sportsmanship:
Auto Geeks (MCAS Cherry Point Air Show), The AttendStars (AttendStar), Full Throttle Formation Team, Dreamy Exotic ASSETS (ASSET Airshows), The Hindenburg Ground Crew (Beale AFB), Blue Angels, Skyhawks, and Golden Knights.

The Cozy Coupe Assembly Contest once again proved itself a fan favorite, reaffirming that even the most iconic childhood ride can inspire record-setting competition among friends.
