“Black Flag” Event Planned For March 25th

March 13th, 2023

Multiple air show performers – including several ICAS Aerobatic Competency Evaluators (ACE) – have scheduled a fifth informal practice and evaluation session for pilots working to sharpen their skills and be evaluated for the renewal of their Statement of Aerobatic Competency cards. The event will take place on Saturday, March 25 at the Henry County Airport (KHMP) in Hampton, Georgia. A briefing for the event will be held at 10:00 a.m.. The aerobatic box will be available through the balance of the day and into the evening hours.

Like the multiple “Black Flag” sessions previously held in Hampton, the opportunity later this March is intended to provide open, honest critique on performance, safety, and entertainment value. Non-pilots (announcers, air bosses, ground support personnel and event organizers) are also invited to attend. Pilots interested in scheduling an evaluation are invited to contact the appropriate ACE directly.

Lunch and dinner will be available for those interested. For more information or to RSVP, contact Nathan Hammond at GhostWriterAirshows@gmail.com.
