ICAS Requests Your Pinnacle Awards Submissions

October 8th, 2021

ICAS is once again conducting its Pinnacle Awards program this fall, with award recipients to be announced at a luncheon on Wednesday, December 8, in conjunction with the 2021 ICAS Convention in Las Vegas.

Established by ICAS in 2014 as a tool for recognizing innovation and excellence among ICAS members, Pinnacle Awards will again be presented in seven categories this year: large shows, mid-size shows, small shows, military shows, civilian performers, military performers, and support service providers. All entries are assessed based on five criteria: purpose, innovation, feasibility, project planning, and documentation, and execution.

Because Pinnacle Awards are intended to recognize excellence in virtually any area of air show management, operations, and business, entries each year come from a wide span of air show activity, from hospitality, sponsorship, and marketing to security, air/ground operations, and emergency response to showmanship, technology, and event management.

“The program was developed to showcase and explain creative ideas and innovations in all areas of the air show business,” says Adam Glowaski, ICAS Director of Marketing and Communications. “We use the program not just to give credit where credit is due, but also to help make new and helpful ideas accessible to other ICAS members who might benefit from hearing about them.”
