Roetman Suffers Minor Injuries in Idaho Accident

June 18th, 2012
ICAS member and air show performer Buck Roetman suffered an ankle sprain and minor scrapes following an accident during a twilight performance at the Legacy Flight Museum Air Show in Rexburg, Idaho at approximately 8:30 p.m. local time on Friday, June 15. Although Roetman suffered only minor injuries, his Christen Eagle was destroyed in the accident. Roetman reported a loss of thrust just prior to the accident and suggested to local reporters following the accident that it was a “propeller issue.” The exact cause of the accident is still unclear and the FAA is investigating.
