ICAS Announces Registration Dates, Discounts For 2022 Convention

As announced in late March, the 55^th Annual Convention of the International Council of Air Shows will be held from Monday, December 12 through Thursday, December 15 at the Forum Convention Center in Las Vegas. Registrations for the 2022 convention will go on sale Tuesday, May 17. 

In response to member input, the ICAS Convention location was moved from the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas to the Forum Convention Center, less than a mile northeast of the Paris Hotel. ICAS has reserved hotel sleeping rooms for convention delegates at Harrah’s Hotel, which is a four-minute walk in an indoor walkway from the Forum Convention Center.

The details of the convention program are still taking shape and will be announced later this spring, but the initial registration fee of $505 will be offered starting Tuesday. Utilizing a new “dynamic pricing” model, ICAS will offer registration fees that vary from as low as $505 to as much as $695, depending on when a delegate registers and how many registrations remain at the current pricing level. (Note: Once again this year, registered delegates who reserve a room from the ICAS block of sleeping rooms for three nights or more will receive a $100 gift card, so the functional prices are actually $405 to $595.) 

As an example of this new dynamic model, convention registration will open on Tuesday with a registration fee of $505 per delegate, and that fee will be available until May 31 or until 225 delegates have registered at that rate, whichever comes first. The new pricing structure is intended to solidify budget projections and encourage members to register early for the convention.

The 2022 convention program will include booth set-up and the traditional convention welcome reception on Monday, December 12; the opening general session and first exhibit hall sessions on Tuesday, December 13; the Pinnacle and Marketing Awards luncheon and additional exhibit and education sessions on Wednesday, December 14; and the final convention programming and final night banquet on Thursday, December 15.
