Following a near-complete rewrite of FAA air show policy followed by an 18-month period in which many event organizers did not hold their events, many ICAS members will be re-engaging with FAA directives, requirements and policies during the next several months. In this session, we’ll discuss the elements that generated the most confusion and consternation. And you’ll learn how air show professionals and regulators responded to those challenges, and what you need to better understand and overcome those challenges in 2022 and beyond. The FAA’s national aviation events specialist will explain lessons learned during the COVID-19 challenges of the 2020 and 2021 air show seasons and discuss the upcoming changes for air show policy within the FAA. He will also provide answers to your questions on how the FAA monitors and regulates different aspects of the air show business.
