Air Show Performer Marketing Workshop

This new, long-format workshop will provide air show performers with a tool box of ideas, tactics, perspectives and insight to help them position themselves to be hired by event organizers. Integrating parts of similar programs offered by ICAS in the past, this course will bring together a wide variety of ICAS members and subject matter experts to drill down on a number of issues that are critical for performers to make themselves as attractive as possible to prospective customers.

In a series of mini-presentations offered during this fast-paced, 3½ workshop, participants will learn about:

- A demographic overview of your target audience
- Professionalism and reputation as your marketing foundation
- Establishing and maintaining your brand
- Social media as a marketing and communications tool
- Distinguishing yourself from the crowd
- How to develop a compelling promotional video
- The importance of offering more than just your air show act
- Contracts and contracting
- Pricing as a marketing tactic
- Legacy marketing techniques and tactics in the 21st century
- The science and art of using a trade show exhibit booth to market your services

Participants will leave this program with ideas and insights on how to best position and market themselves to the 200+ air shows that will be held during 2020. Although developed and directed at newcomers, the program will also be interesting and useful to established performers working to change or adjust their marketing approach.
