USAF Thunderbirds Announce 2025-2026 Officer Selections | July 8th, 2024 |
 The United States Air Force Thunderbirds have unveiled their newest officer selections for the 2025-2026 show seasons. These experienced aviators were selected to bring their expertise and passion to the demonstration team.
Thunderbird 2: Capt. Josh “Shadow” Burress is the Chief of T-38 Evaluation with the 14th Operations Group at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. Thunderbird 6: Maj. Laney “Rogue” Schol, the Executive Officer for the 33rd Fighter Wing at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. Thunderbird 7: Maj. Tyler “Wrath” Keener, Director of Operations for the 19th Fighter Squadron at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii. Thunderbird 8: Capt. Nick “Chronic” Belinski is a Flight Commander with the 309th Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. Thunderbird 10: Capt. Janilie Vecchio, Operations Officer for the 432nd Force Support Unit at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada.
The selected officers will remain at their current duty stations until officially joining the team this fall. The Thunderbirds will welcome these new members, along with additional support staff, as they continue to captivate audiences in North America with their exceptional aerial displays and commitment to excellence. | |
