Event organizers face a steep learning curve when considering for the first time the myriad of regulations, requirements, and recommendations related to putting on an air show. Air Shows 101 is designed to take some of the steepness out of that learning curve. Recognized throughout the industry as the definitive introductory course on air show air/ground operations, the workshop features presentations on: • Critical air/ground operations issues, including how to lay out your site; • Timelines for initiating each aspect of planning; • Mitigating hazards; • What to consider when hiring performers; • How to apply for an air show waiver and your responsibilities once it is approved; • What you should include in your emergency plan; • How to establish early control of ground operations and support; and • How to work with your assigned safety monitor. The fee for the one-day Air Shows 101: Air/Ground Operations Training is $330 if you pre-register by November 1, $355 if you register after that. This workshop is not included in your convention registration. Sponsored by Michigan Flight Museum |
