| Community engagement has many different definitions in the air show business…and all of them are important. For all shows, “community engagement” includes interacting with the general public, law enforcement and firefighting officials, politicians and other government representatives, airport neighbors and tenants, and much more. For the military, successful engagement with the local community is a primary purpose of scheduling and conducting an open house at the base in the first place. Whatever its definition, successful and comprehensive community engagement is essential and often challenging. In this session, six panelists and a moderator will use a popular and effective ICAS Convention session format to pass along a large number and wide variety of suggestions, ideas and tactics during a fast moving 60 minutes. |
