Champagne 1

Within the next several months, the regulations and guidance that direct how air shows are conducted in the United States will change substantially. The FAA will release the first significant changes to FAA Order 8900.1, Volume 3, Chapter 6 in more than eight years, including requirements for a new non-aerobatic “dynamic maneuvering” credential. The FAA will also release details on the new air boss letter of authorization, including a timeline for implementation. In this session, the national aviation events coordinator for the FAA will explain this new guidance, discuss other changes that might impact your air show business, and answer your questions about how the FAA monitors and regulates different aspects of the air show business.
